@x I tried out Aurora Store yesterday. I was able to install few Google Play apps. One worked, the other did not. This is an interesting option, although it does clearly state you're in violation of the Terms of Service when using it.
There also appears to be no way to pay for apps, or in app purchases. I'm a big believer in software sustainability, open-source or not, and not being able to compensate developers for their time is a bit of a deal breaker for me. 🤔
